In a blue room I will lie
With dancing shadows on the wall
Like clouds rolling by.
And they beckon with their shapes
Bringing dragons to my world
Colouring in the places they leave behind.
They remind me of you
And the space between my fingers
Where your fingers once fit through
And the circle we completed
That never seemed to end,
Now has a beginning, middle and an end.
In a green room I will dream
Of sparkling, crystal, shiny water
Bubbling in a stream.
And of spring and hope and life
When the sun begins to show
And calls the new shoots to live and love and grow.
They remind me of you
And the space between my fingers……..
In a dark room I will cry
For hidden possibilities that now pass me by.
And an overwhelming love
For those I hold so dear
And those long gone, but very much still here.
